Not long after the 14-day shutdown and stay-at-home to flatten the curve orders were issued in the early spring of 2020, something appeared to be a little off in the lockstep narrative that the mainstream media, political officials, and healthcare organizations were spewing. Sometime in mid-April, when the vicious attacks began over the proposed use of Hydroxy-chloroquine and Ivermectin as possible prophylactics against the virus, I decided to seek out other avenues and sources of information. The research and quest for any rational discussion or theory have drawn me down many rabbit holes. Early on, most of the rabbit holes led to places I had always considered conspiracy theories and the writings of the crazies in our society. What I find remarkable is that after 2-years, most of those rabbit hole conspiracies have panned out and were authentic and genuine. The farther I go uncovering more minor plots, I am also finding that there are not any coincidences. In most of the reported coincidences, we discover the actions performed on purpose when enough time passes.
While the stay-at-home pause was in place, research was consuming my existence. I began comparing religious cults from the 1970s and comparing the operations to what we were experiencing from our government. Think about the first thing a cult does is control your information uptake or access to outside news; second, they govern your gathering, associations, and social activity; thirdly, you must wear something special for protection. Early on, we were glued to our devices in a quest for information that was a corrupt narrative designed to make us fearful; second, they closed schools, churches, all of our regular gathering places, the public square, and thirdly we were required to wear a mask. Are those interesting observations, or is it just me?
Shortly after Memorial Day 2020, as I watched the coverage of our cities burning and how the riots were being reported as peaceful protests, I began wondering how disconnected from reality I was. I am a conservative and have cheerfully spent my life as a partisan. We are often told America is divided into red vs. blue, black vs. white, and men vs. women. I believe that America is much bigger than the red-blue, Republican-Democrat, conservative-liberal dichotomy. There is an American majority, a red, white, and blue unity, which the news media and politicians refuse to work with—and perhaps are too ideologically blind to see. As I migrated away from Google and Edge search engines, I discovered many companies and surveys that you will not find through our typical search engines. It became apparent that our normal paths were being manipulated to desired outcomes. I found many articles and surveys on my rabbit trail that asked questions in a manner that did not funnel responses to a particular result. I found these surveys more honest representations of the subject matter. Here is a small test that will help you decide whether you are part of the American majority. See if you agree or disagree with the following ten statements.
1. Americans should be judged by Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s standard: the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
2. Needy but able-bodied adults should still have to work to receive taxpayer-funded benefits such as food stamps, free health care, or welfare.
3. America is the greatest country on earth.
4. Criminals who kill police officers should have mandatory life imprisonment.
5. Federal income taxes should be cut for all Americans.
6. There should be tax credits for products manufactured in America.
7. Valid government-issued photo identification should be required to vote in elections.
8. People should be able to freely practice their religion.
9. All children should have the opportunity to attend the best schools.
10. Noncitizen gang members, such as members of MS-13, should face mandatory deportation when they are arrested.
If you agreed with at least seven of these statements, you are currently part of the American Majority. If you agree with four or more, you are not yet part of the majority. However, there is hope for you after you endure a little more pain. You may find an amazingly different take on America than you will ever see portrayed in the elite national media. Otherwise, you may simply reject the idea that you could be this far from the thinking of the majority of Americans. But I’m afraid you are. During my most recent research activities, I found documentation of these questions that led me to Gingrich 360 and McLaughlin & Associates. They surveyed people nationwide to find super-majority issues that bring together the American majority—across all ages, ethnicities, and political affiliations. Naturally, they called their survey the American Majority Project.
Consider how the American majority answered the previous questions.
91 percent of Americans believe Rev. King was right about the content of your character being more important than your skin color.
74 percent believe able-bodied adults should be required to work for government benefits.
78 percent say America is the greatest country on earth.
74 percent favor mandatory life sentences for cop killers.
75 percent of Americans favor federal income tax cuts.
87 percent want tax credits for products made in America.
81 percent of Americans say photo identification should be required for voting.
85 percent say the government should protect religious freedom.
81 percent of Americans want children to have the choice to go to schools that are right for them.
87 percent favor mandatory deportation for noncitizen gang members.
The American majority (We The People) ranges from 74.3 percent to 91.2 percent of Americans on these ten questions. The average for these ten is above 80 percent. Without the constant, intense, and sometimes ferocious efforts of the left, a people-oriented American system would be far more patriotic and conservative than anything the Washington elites can imagine. An American government that followed the wishes of the American people would have dramatically different policies (in many cases, completely opposite policies) from the current power structure, which is hostile to most Americans' common culture and beliefs. If you are still reading, Thank You. You must know that I was inspired to write this piece after reading Beyond Biden. Newt does an excellent job describing the kind of America possible if we embrace the values and system favored by the majority of the American people. This process is already underway in several states governed by conservatives, reasserting American values and American goals. The book also outlines the challenges we face and the values and policies the American people will support in meeting those challenges.
I ask you to reflect on your last 2 years, and hopefully, through the pain that has touched us all in one way or another, you can see the Great Awakening happening. This awakening is taking place because as we were forced to stay at home, most of us woke up to what was being taught to our kids, and with the zoom city council meeting, more citizens were attending, seeing what was wrong and getting involved. I will never forget Reagan's speech in November of 1984 when he said,
"Our opponents have a very different vision for your future. Where we look at a problem and see opportunity, they look at an opportunity and see a problem. We believe in knowing when opportunity knocks, and they seem determined to knock opportunity.… We can say to the world and pledge to our children that America's best days lie ahead, and you haven't seen anything yet."
