It was the spring of 1992. As the presidential campaigns were warming up somewhere between 2 for Tuesday and triple shot Thursday on my local rock and roll FM stations, I stumbled onto a local noontime talk show. The show on WBAP is an AM 50,000-watt blowtorch in the southwest. With half my brain tied behind my back, to make it fair, behind the golden EIB microphone, we are shining the light of truth on a swamp full of rats. Who was this arrogant but somewhat funny voice I just heard? For whatever reason, those first comments intrigued me, so I continued to listen, and much to my amazement, what I initially thought was so arrogant was entertaining.
I continued to listen and tune in, for the core message was on point for my personal and political beliefs. That first couple of weeks set the stage for my awakening. This journey encompassed the next thirty years. I was a disciple of the Ditto heads that methodically tuned in to the Doctor of Democracy daily at noon to receive our news. El Rushbo rifled through the stack of news stories with his formerly nicotine-stained fingers to shed the light of truth onto the shadowy backdrop of our society. This practice proved fruitful as we already knew what the national MSM would be talking about that evening, as they also used the King of the golden EIB network for their show prep each day. Rush could home in on voters' concerns about the Republican party.
As the years went on, Rush pushed for increasingly conservative candidates. In 2010, I remembered Rush backed most of the Tea Party candidates in the primaries, and if I remember correctly, he coined the term "RINO" Republican in name only. He warned that soft-spined; milk toast politicians would sully the Republican brand. The result was [politicians] had to pay attention to him. El Rushbo was in tune with his audience, composed of Republican primary voters who spent hours each day listening in as if he were a trusted friend or family member.
With this massive audience in tow, Rush could raise hundreds of thousands and, in a couple of cases, millions of dollars for a candidate in one 20-second sound bite if he chose to back them on air. As with the former President, Donald Trump, Rush spoke for people who felt disparaged by condescending elites.
Established politicians, lobbyists, Washington lawyers, and others collectively known as "inside the Beltway" types reacted to him as if these people had trespassed on their territory. Rush's devoted fans believed their values helped build and sustain America through wars, economic downturns, and other challenges. They see those values under siege from a secular progressive generation that tolerates everything but them.
Many Ditto heads served in the military to defend once traditional values that many now take for granted, as though freedom is automatic and effortless. We go to church and take our children to Sunday school, and some of us enroll our kids in Christian schools or home-school them because we dislike public school teachings. We believe our country is losing all moral standards, is becoming increasingly corrupt, and is in danger of extinction if these things don't turn around. Shouldn't these concerns explain why Ditto heads wish to issue warnings because we love the country and don't want it to fail? Rush was our spokesman on these and other matters.
As a vocal advocate for conservatism, his influence reverberated among Republicans in America's highest offices. Rush became a political leader, maybe the most influential figure in conservative politics, without being elected or appointed party leaders like the RNC chair. I could write about Rush for days, but the point of this article is who leads us or influences us on that same pathway now that our Lord has called El Rushbo, the Doctor of Democracy, with half his brain tied behind his head to make it fair, home?
I do not know about you, but Rush being called home in 2021 left a large void in my life and mental growth as I also used his shows to expand my vocabulary and thought processes. Naturally, after spending so many years making fun of the mainstream media and my total distrust for the narratives, I could not fall back into that un-in-lightened hole.
I teach automotive technology and occasionally post a short YouTube video on the current automotive subject matter for the day. This process warms the class on the objectives and material and gets them off their phones before class starts. During a research session one morning for fresh material, I ran across a Nino Rodriguez (Nino's Corner) podcast. Hello, folks. "Coming to You Live from the APOCALYPSE UGGGGGH. "I remember seeing a couple of his fights, so I watched for a few minutes, and he was interesting, especially when he got to WTF news (funny). However, I did find him a little harsh with his language for me to share his message and format with a large portion of the people I was trying to reach. So, after a few weeks, Nino from El Paso led me to Monkey Werx from Dallas, who could show all the illegals transported by planes provided by our government throughout our country along with all military aircraft aloft. Exciting stuff that further enraged me but did not fill my quest for some form of reality that I knew was lurking in the shadows about elections or our President.
One day I ran into Mel Kay with Nino and found her research exciting, so I began following her. Nino also interviewed Juan O Savon. Juan is connected to something; I am just unsure what. I think he is on our side, but if you are looking for direct answers to an equation, you need to be able to decipher Bible Parables. So, I will credit Juan for reconnecting me with my Bible more personally. While tuned in to Mel Kay Show one night, she was at a Great Awakening Tour (a Clay Clark) event in Vegas. Waiting to hear Juan speak, I bumped into a Patel Patriot speech on Devolution.
In my mind, Patel Patriot stole the show. Here was the intelligent analytics about where we are in conjunction with a wrong election (The most secure in history) and a leader that I felt truly loved me and our country. Patel Patriot put me front and center on the Devolution train with his remarkable research and reference material. His analysis and documentation timeline of executive orders was terrific.
I scratched around on Rumble and found Devolution by Roark on Rumble (you know, the red card with a blue bust with flag glasses and all the possible devolution players). I guess it was in part 3, and I met Patrick Gunnels while reading the Devolution article. I first thought Patrick was Roark but soon figured out what I think around part 5. I had sorted everything out and listened to Patrick read me the material on his Reading Epic Threads podcast. Guys finding Patel Patriot and Patrick Gunnels, began to fill the void left by my conservative mentor.
Let's examine the trip, shall we? Reading Epic Threads has proven to be a game changer for me. Patrick has introduced me to many brilliant writers, researchers, and thinkers. While surfing around ingesting the devolution writings of Patel Patriot through Patrick's expressional enunciations that bring life to every word, I discovered many other gifted writers and thinkers. Andre, Martin Geddes, ArngrimR, Burning Bright, Seth Keshel, Erik Carlson, Vox Dav, Duane Cates, Brian Cates, Kate Awakening, Chris Paul, Jason, Clif High, Jorden Sather, Richard the Saint, and Just Human, to name a few of the new citizen journalist researchers and writing stars.
Patel Patriot introduced me to Kate Awakening and Beer at the Parade through his Devolution Power Hour and Liberty Den. Two mainstream Anons, I think, brought me around to being able to openly discuss world events through a different lens and enriched my level of researching things for myself. Kate, you are a significant influence, articulate, beautiful, and a great writer.
Dinesh Dsouza released 2000 mules. That began shedding light on the interworking behind the scenes about the robbery of the 2020 election for me. The Mules documentary introduced me to Gregg Phillips and geofencing. I thought in my 10-cent brain that I was witnessing the smoking gun. It was impressive but not the smoking gun, I thought. A week or so after the release of mules, I saw the first interview with Gregg Phillips on Patel Patriot Power Hour. Gregg is an impressive individual and incredibly brilliant. In the round table discussion after the interview with Gregg, Richard the Saint fascinated me with his take that the mules showed us some things but proved nothing. Richard pointed out that there had to be more than ballot box loading for Biden to achieve 81 million votes.
Shortly after that round table, RtS began delivering his Flight 1745 series to Patrick for his expert delivery of the material on Reading Epic Threads. It was not until he wrote his Issue 99: In the Presence of my Enemies that his awareness of the situation and impeccable research ability became clear to me in a profound way. I suggest anyone in search of fundamental analysis of the underbelly of our current situation needs to listen to Patrick Gunnels read issue 99 from Richard the Saint that debuted on Reading Epic Threads on Rumble Friday, September 1, 2022. Thank you, Richard, for the inspiration and confirmation that I am not the only one who suspects such things as you so appropriately brought to light. You, my friend, are zeroed in over the target in my mind.
Patrick reads these beautiful essays and deeply researched stories from the authors of our future that express an enlightened viewpoint of current events and reach back, uncovering much of the world's history hidden from us through the centuries. Through the round table format that Patel Patriot put on through his Devolution Power Hour, I have found Just Human, Chris Paul, Burning Bright, and Jorden Sather, to name a few.
These folks are great writers, researchers, and filters that bring a provocative thought process to live news and geopolitical movements. I must mention Mermaid Miss Kay, who is in the background of many of these podcasts providing on-the-spot research for my favorite personalities. I know this as they regularly reference and thank her for a post during a live podcast. Mermaid Miss Kay, and I am sure there are more, I am unaware of who they are. Thank all of you for your hard and diligent work in the background. Here again, I could pour ink on the page for days about this journey, process, and personality that currently inspire me. I will close with a special THANK YOU to Patrick Gunnels and his Reading Epic Threads podcast. Patrick, you, my friend, have brought me an entire community to engage with and further my journey. Your presentations of the written word are moving and inspiring. It is a good day for me when it ends with a poem by Claude and a prayer with Saint Michael. I know what it takes to put on an event like Thread fest. I commend you for your dedication and efforts. I cannot wait to meet a large portion of this group in November in Southlake.

I listened to Patrick's reading of this post the other day. My journey was similar to yours. Thanks for sharing.
